In this poem the poet describes the situation in the times of an epidemic. He wonders how many kids suffered and lost their lives during the epidemic.

The mothers who have lost their kids to this epidemic cannot stop crying and their tears are flowing continuously. They have become very weak from their constant crying but still their weak voice show a deep sorrow.

The girl in the poem Sukiya always wanted to play outside and she was a very lively child. But her father did not want his daughter to go out to play fearing that she will fall sick to the epidemic.

But she used to go out to play in spite of her father not letting her to go outside...
